This special event for YMCA Summer Camp (White Plains) participants combines storytime, creative art, and hands-on wellness activities focused on heart health.

Kids will hear stories like Ali’s Healthy Heart, Lindsay’s Big Heart, and Hear Your Heart, learning how their hearts work and why it’s important to take care of them. After storytime, they’ll get creative with Play-Doh heart sculptures and collaborate on large, themed murals that explore what makes their hearts happy and healthy.

Following the arts and stories, campers will rotate through interactive wellness stations designed to teach about movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and other habits that support a strong heart. Activities are engaging and age-appropriate, helping kids connect healthy choices with everyday life.
